What is BEAst?

BEAst (Byggbranschens Elektroniska Affärsstandard) is a Swedish non-profit organisation that develops common standards and working methods for digital information exchange in the construction industry. Its aim is to enable different actors in the construction sector to use common, machine-readable information structures and thereby create more efficient digital value chains.

BEAst focuses particularly on processes related to procurement, purchasing, logistics and invoicing. Its standards and working methods are developed jointly by construction companies, clients, suppliers, transport companies, software providers and other industry stakeholders.

ℹ️ About the Project:
The Varasto project promotes the integration of sustainability data into construction industry order-to-delivery supply chains through Peppol messages, using training, pilot projects, and collaboration with ecosystem stakeholders across the sector. The project is implemented by Laurea University of Applied Sciences, KIRAHub, and TIEKE, and is funded by the Regional Council of Uusimaa and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the period 1 October 2025–30 September 2027.
